Great value for money from this apartment. Reasonably central location as well, within easy walking distance to central Edinburgh
We thought the apartment would have wi-fi but it didn't. No soap provided in the bathrooms - although shampoo, etc. were??
Well firstly all ths glasses that had been put away were filthy, there was a funny smell in the apartment, bad directions, make up and fake tan all over carpets, bed sheets and towels, the shower was disgusting and the key kept getting jammed in the door. also the apartments think it is ok to just take money from your account without your concent and have hidden charges that they do not tell u about. when questioned about this staff and management were very very rude!! Wouldnt recommend this at all!!! Worst place I have ever stayed in, its all a money making scam!!!!! Bad customer service and vary vary vary unprofessional!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The location was perfect, fabulous views of St Giles cathedral, we even had the perfect view of a celebrity wedding ! The apartments are clean, modern and spacious and the shower was fantastic !
The friendly staff, warm decoration and good location made our trip in Scotland more comfortable and enjoyable.St Giles Apartments is my first choice when I travel to Edinburgh next time.
The new furnished apartment smells of paint.
The location was very convenient for exploring edinburgh. It was nice to come back to a nice apartment and have the luxuries of home comforts - the additional space was also nice compared to a simple hotel room.
it was slightly noisy at nightime as we were on the ground floor - but this really is me 'trying' to find a fault.
very good location, next to atractons, shops and restaurants; comfortable apartment, good value for money. friendly staff and attention to little but nice details.
Good location - just off Royal Mile (High Street); 10 minute walk from Waverly train station.
No WiFi; bathroom flooring needs replacing; could add a few more amenities in kitchen like larger pot and oven mitts.
Location excellent and apartment clean and comfortable.
Noisy at night and rooms a bit hot. Boiler in one of the wardrobes.
We stayed in a 2 bedroomed apartment, which was ideal. Very well fitted out, an immaculately clean. Quiet location, 50 metres off Royal Mile, so no passing traffic. Local shops and restaurants were excellent.Designated parking space was a boon. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an alternative to a mainstream hotel. Check in staff could not have been more helpful, but do note that this is some 10 minutes walk from the apartment.
The location is absolutely brilliant, yet for the middle of a big city, the street was relatively quiet. The apartment was very nicely decorated, very well equipped, just excellent. We will definitely go back here.
There was nothing we didn't like about this apartment, we will definitely be going back.
The location and the communal spaces
Stained carpet in the bedrooms. Hole in bedroom wardrobe door. We were given a key fob to enter the underground car park, but the agency had not checked that it was in working order. It wasn'T. The frying pan was of poor quality and burnt. We were not left the complimentary orange juice, water and milk mentioned when we received the keys, though they were dropped off later on the day of check in, along with the key fob, now in working order, having been fitted with a new battery.
As first-time visitors to Scotland from Los Angeles we were very unsatisfied with these accommodations. These apartments were advertised as luxury apartments that were conveniently located. Instead here is what we experienced: --A hard-to-find location that was anything but luxurious. Visitors enter the apartments by a large dumpster in a graffiti-filled parking lot. To get to the apt. you go under a bridge with lots more graffiti. Definitely not the nice part of town. --Poor service. The first day only one person could shower since there was limited hot water. The second day there was NO hot water. After calling the emergency line and letting it ring 50 times we talked with a co-owner. He told us what to check on the hot water heater and we discovered the maintenance people had never turned it on. After 2 hours we still had no hot water and could never shower. --Despite choosing a non-smoking apartment we entered a dirty smoke-filled lobby with no elevator. --The TV never worked. Our relatives stayed in a different Sarwar unit and their TV also did not work until someone from the company came and fixed it. --Stained dirty carpet. The staff was rude and never apologized for the discomfort and inconvenience they caused us.
Very good location. Near Royal Mile with carparking and good facilities at a reasonable price.
The website indicated the apartment was on the Royal Mile and within 10 min walk of Edinburgh Castle. It is not on Royal Mile, although close and it is 20 min walk to the Castle. Staff were very inflexible in extending carpark usage by even 30mins although new resident check-in had a 4hr gap from check-out time.
The appartments were very central and of a very good standard. The tea, coffee, juice & water provided were handy on arrival. The key collection and drop off were close by and very useful to be able to leave luggage in the office before and after at ease and with no charge. The staff were friendly and helpful even allowing us to print out our boarding passes for return flights preventing us having to find an internet cafe or paying extra at the airport.
It's a fantastic location in the heart of the Royal Mile action.
Despite being no smoking, there was a constant odour of smoke. Plus the stairs. So many stairs and no lift...
